TEACHING University of Arkansas at Little Rock – Associate Professor, Head of Dance (2008–present) Little Rock, AR Teach all levels of Modern Dance, Ballet, Improvisation, Choreography, Dance History, IT for Theatre & Dance, Jazz, and Dance Pedagogy. Guest lecturer for Donaghey Scholars course in Fine Arts. Mentored student projects, including one for Donaghey Scholar’s program. Teach various courses across the curriculum, as needed. Museum of Discovery – Arts in Education Residency (2019–2022) Little Rock, AR Conduct in-school arts-in-education residencies for elementary school students, each culminating in a presentation at the Museum of Discovery’s STEAM Night for the school. Elementary schools included Oakbrooke Elementary, Crystal Hill Elementary, Friendship Aspire Academy, and Ridge Road Elementary.

North Little Rock High School Dance Program – (annually, 2010–2013) North Little Rock, AR Through an Arkansas Arts Council grant for Arts in Education (2010–2011 and 2012–2013), hired by the North Little Rock School District for an annual residency involving the North Little Rock High School dance students in a choreography workshop. Hired by NLRHS without AAC assistance in 2011–2012.

Dancing Our Way to a Healthy Future (2010-2013) Little Rock, AR This project was a collaboration with Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI) St. Vincent to help at-risk students develop healthy eating and exercise habits, discipline, and self-motivation, through the discipline of dance. Working with students at Forest Heights Middle School, served as primary instructor/director during Fall 2010, then served as director/liason (with UALR students teaching) for the remainder of the project (2011–2013).
Wichita State University – Assistant Professor of Dance (2004–2008) Wichita, KS Taught all levels of Modern Dance Technique, Choreography, Art of Dance, Improvisation, Dance Technology and Production, and Dance History. Mentored students in performance and choreography. Mentored students and faculty in digital sound and video editing projects. Taught master classes and workshops at annual events, such as Kansas Dance Festival, Children’s Dance Festival, and American College Dance Association Regional Conferences.
National Taiwan College of Physical Education – Guest Artist (September, 2007) Taichung, Taiwan Taught master classes in modern dance, improvisation, repertory, and composition as a guest artist in this highly rigorous dance program. Two-week residency. Oklahoma Contemporary Dance Festival – Guest Artist (July, 2007) Oklahoma City, OK Taught ballet master class as part of this annual festival. Also worked with dancers to set one of my works as a guest choreographer for this festival. One-week residency.
ArtisTree® – Guest Artist (2005–2006) Hutchinson, KS Hired as guest artist to periodically teach master classes in modern dance. Introduced dance students to modern dance and helped studio director locate qualified teachers for ongoing modern dance classes.
Grand Valley State University, Department of Music – (2003–2004) Allendale, MI Taught Intermediate and Advanced Modern Technique, Dance History, Improvisation, and Choreography. Organized field trips, master classes, workshops, and performances to expose students to new forms of dance. Dickinson College – Visiting Assistant Professor / Acting Director of Dance (2002–2003) Carlisle, PA Taught all levels of Modern Dance Technique, Fundamentals of Dance, Dance and Culture, Fundamentals of Choreography, and Applied Choreography. Served as director, recruiter, and promoter for this single-faculty-member program within the Theatre & Dance Department. One-year sabbatical replacement.
University of Maryland – Adjunct Faculty (Summer 2002) College Park, MD Introduction to Dance (DANC200). Taught this undergraduate dance appreciation course to primarily non-dancers enrolled in Summer Term courses at University of Maryland, College Park.

TEACHING – CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT University of Arkansas at Little Rock – Associate Professor, Head of Dance (2008–2023) Little Rock, AR Developed and proposed curriculum and assessment plans for B.F.A. in Dance Performance; degree launched in Fall 2009. Worked closely with Jay Raphael, Department Chair; David Belcher, Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs; and Susan Hoffpauir, Associate Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, to develop an appropriate curriculum that met the B.F.A. guidelines of the National Association of Schools of Dance (NASD – national accrediting body) while fitting into the existing academic structure of the university. Actively participated and served on numerous committees and activities related to the dance curriculum, including its relationship to the evolving core curriculum for the university. Following external program review recommendations, worked closely with Department Chair to develop the curriculum for the B.A. in Dance, which launched in Fall 2018.
Wichita State University – Assistant Professor of Dance (2004–2008) Wichita, KS Worked with colleagues to develop and propose new curriculum for existing B.F.A. in Performing Arts–Dance. Attended curriculum meetings and handled paperwork to assure timely approval of new degree program. Grand Valley State University, Department of Music – (2003–2004) Allendale, MI Assistant Professor of Dance (Tenure-Track) / Assistant Department Chair Developed curriculum and implemented administrative procedures for the dance program. Laid groundwork for creating a dance program that would meet national accreditation standards.
